This lab will walk you through the Amazon Quantum Ledger Database features. To store data, we will create several tables in QLDB Ledger. Then, we'll query the information from the table to view its update history.

You will use the Amazon Quantum Ledger Database, (QLDB) to practice.

Introduction

What is Amazon Quantum Ledger Database and how can it help you?

Amazon Quantum Ledger Database, or Amazon QLDB, is a fully managed ledger system that maintains a transparent, immutable and cryptographically verifyable transaction log. It is controlled by a central trusted authority.

Amazon QLDB can be used to track changes in application data and keep a complete history of all changes.

Amazon QLDB database is a new type of database that eliminates the need for complex development of your own ledger-like applications.

QLDB is the history of data changes that you have made. It cannot be modified, updated, or deleted.

QLDB uses an immutable transactional record, also known as a journal. Append-only, the journal is made up of a sequenced and hash chained set blocks which contain your committed data.

The history of financial and economic activity within an organization can be recorded using ledgers.
