Course Description

This tutorial will show you how to create a professional tracking system using NUKE, SynthEyes, and Maya. This pipeline is flexible and works well in most situations. Learn how to prepare footage using different distortion techniques with NUKE or SynthEyes, and how to render footage for tracking. SynthEyes will teach you how to track with SynthEyes, as well as how to go from an auto track mode to a manual one. We will discuss the different types of cameras, and which techniques are best. We will use Google SketchUp to search for a model/survey online and then align/match the model/survey with footage to create the correct scale camera in Maya. Based on the camera that we have tracked, we will create a 3D scene. You will learn how to properly prepare and track footage, as well as how to get a working camera for visual effects. There will be some tricks and tips to speed up the process.
