Capstone: Build a Winning Investment Portfolio

The Investment and Portfolio Management course offers a five-week immersive experience where participants can apply their knowledge in real-world investment scenarios. Through managing a simulated portfolio, participants will generate a peer-graded report that covers portfolio strategy, analysis, and performance. They will also act as investment advisors to case study clients, providing recommendations for portfolio changes and strategies. The course utilizes Portfolio Visualizer, a web-based analytical tool, which includes features such as mean-variance optimization and efficiency frontiers. Participants will be able to directly apply their capstone experiences to real-world investment portfolios and share their final reports with potential employers. The course covers various topics, including analyzing multiple asset types, asset allocation and risk management, current market trends, behavioral finance, investment strategies and styles, financial market innovation, and investment performance evaluation. By the end of the capstone project, participants will have integrated concepts from all four courses.
