CLASS PROJECT
Assignment
This course will require you to create your own Toile de Jouy design using all the information from class. You can choose to make your Toile design in the traditional rococo style, or a modern and contemporary version.
Deliverables
In the project section, create a project. A completed project should include:
- A brief introduction to who you are. It's easier to have fun with people you know a little.
- A board that you use to gather inspiration for your theme, motif and pattern scenes. It can include images from Pinterest, your own photos, and words. It is best to create it in Adobe Illustrator, then save it as an image/images so that it is easy to upload.
- A title and brief description of the theme that you have chosen for your toile pattern.
Describe each motif in your pattern in 1-2 sentences
Optional: Scans or photos of your drawn motifs. It's up to the user to choose between vectorized or original versions.
- Your finished pattern in one or more colors from your color palette. (One color is fine, but it's not necessary.)
