Hello - I'm Tim
I am a Adobe Certified Expert and a designer based in London.
This tutorial teaches Illustrator on the iPad step-by-step. This course will walk you through the steps of creating Illustrator artwork on your iPad, starting with a sketch or photograph. If you don't have any sketches, you can download them all from the course materials area. However, you can also create your own. You are welcome to create your own sketches throughout the course.
This course consists of 10 separate projects that show you how to create most types of graphics in Illustrator for iPad. These graphics are based on a photo or rough sketch. While I will guide you through each stage, it may be beneficial to first complete my Illustrator for iPad course before you start these. However, it is not necessary. I will use a variety of tools, including pens, pencils, brushes, and basic shapes, as well as the Type tool. We will be using flat color, gradients, transparency, blend modes and other tools to color up. This will allow you to get used to using a wide range of tools. Some projects will require you to be precise while others will allow you to use your imagination. We will also spend a lot time in Layers, Properties, Alignments, Combined Shapes, and Repeat panels.
Each project relies on different techniques so Illustrator isn't just repeating the same thing every time.
This course and the projects will help build your confidence to be able convert your skills into your own work.
All content can be adapted to print and web.
Key phrases will be used during the videos to help you remember shortcuts, tools, and techniques.
All you need is an iPad equipped with an Apple Pencil, and a copy of Adobe Illustrator.
You will be able to create 10 different types from sketches of logos and illustrations. Each one will use slightly different techniques. These techniques can be used to create your own artwork.
