Designing Album Artwork in Photoshop

This series of lessons will focus on creating album artwork in Photoshop. Let's start by looking at two of the most popular CD packaging designs. After getting to know our client, we will begin designing the front cover for a CD insert using Photoshop. As we work on the front cover we will learn how to incorporate other elements, such as a vector logo or textures. Next, we will create the back cover for our insert. We'll also consider the lyrics that will be displayed on it. Next, we will use InDesign to design the layout for our insert. We'll be learning about several features such as paragraph styles and character types that will help us make our design process more efficient. Adobe Photoshop CS4 and InDesign CS4 are required.
