We are excited to announce a 5-class series on Adobe Photoshop CC CC for Beginners in collaboration with Adobe. It will run from March 1 - 31st 2015. Each week you'll create projects using Photoshop and submit your work to Skillshare for feedback. This will help you improve your skills.
You will be eligible for a voucher to take the Adobe Certified Associate exam in Photoshop if you complete all assignments by the deadline. This voucher is worth $95 The class teaching assistants (TAs), will award 1 year of Creative Cloud membership to the top student. The quality of student participation and projects submitted will be the criteria for judging.

This is the third class in the five-part series of Photoshop classes. This series will cover everything you need in order to become a Photoshop pro. Photoshop is a very useful skill that can be used by everyone, from photographers to illustrators to graphic designers. It is a complex program that can seem overwhelming. I will make sure you feel at ease while I show you the ropes.
If you aren't confident in your Photoshop skills, but are somewhat familiar with the basics, this series is for you. This class is also great for those who have never used Photoshop before and feel brave. It doesn't matter if you have never used Photoshop before.
Photoshop is an amazing program that allows you to create beautiful things. Photoshop can create anything from beautiful stationery and business cards to custom-made websites. This series aims to take you from beginner to expert so that your imagination can be a canvas for Photoshop.
What you'll Learn In this class (Photoshop III), you'll learn to master the pen tool. We'll be combining text, color, fonts and type together to cut apart photos. You'll be a master of typography and a pro at using pen tools by the end.
- Pen Tool. I will show you many easy-to-learn techniques to take the stress out of using the pen tool. We will trace images and use the pen to cut out an image. I'll show you advanced techniques and tools.
- Fonts and Typography Typography and Fonts are essential to a design's success. I'll be showing you the basics of Photoshop's type features and giving you advanced techniques.
What You Will Make
You'll be able to use all your new skills to create a greeting card for a friend, family member, or loved one at the end of the class. We will combine images and text to create a striking card. It's sure to be loved by your pal!
Class Supplies
Adobe Photoshop. You can download a 30-day free trial of Adobe Photoshop here. All tutorials are recorded on a Mac with Photoshop via Adobe Creative Cloud. To follow along, you don't need a Mac or the latest version of Photoshop. The majority of the tools are compatible across all versions Photoshop.
Please Note: Photoshop Elements is a limited edition of Photoshop and is not recommended to be used in this course.
