How to animate your story using stop motion techniques

This Skillshare class will teach you how to create a short stop motion film in 30 seconds.

Your project will be to create animations based on a story from your life.

I will walk you through the entire process of storyboarding, choosing the story, writing, animating, and editing. I'll also show you the basics of how to make animations.

Animations are easy to create. However.. This class does not teach you how to use certain software. Even though I keep it simple, you should learn as much as you can about the software you use (or take a Skillshare class). A PDF with software and apps can be downloaded from the class resources page. Most of them are free.

You will need a stop motion program (on your phone/computer), a camera (this could be your phone/webcam), a table, tape, and one or two lamps to join me during the class.

I draw and cut all my items. But you can also use other materials, such as clay, toys, or photos. You can also use magazines to cut out everything you need.

This class is a step by step workshop that you can follow. Although I won't be teaching you how to use certain software, it will be fun and easy!
