Let's create cool illustrations of two Japanese storefronts using watercolors at different times of the day. You will receive many freebies. You will learn about Procreate at the end of my class, including how to use layers and clipping masks, selection tool, and how to add color variation.
The illustrations you create can be used for Instagram posts, added to your portfolio, or sold on Etsy, Gumroad, and so forth. You can also share it with someone you like. They will be thrilled to see an illustration you created.
Today, I want to show that watercolor is simple and fun!
You can see it at the end of my class.
Today, I will show you:
- How to make texture paper (and there are 2 papers).
- How to use the reference option
- How to paint a picture from a sketch (you can draw your sketch or use mine).
- How to use my and your default Procreate brushes to paint watercolors
- How to apply my new watercolor technique, and my new stamp brushes.
- How do you create watercolor illustrations?
- How to use the selection tool
- I will show you what a clipping mask is and how to use it many times.
- I will also demonstrate different methods of adding highlights and shades.
I will share my entire process, from start to finish.
As an added bonus, I will share my 2 textured papers and new custom brushes, as well as my color palette, sketches, and color palette with you. I will also include files of the pictures I drew. You are free to use them in your own art projects.
This class is for intermediate artists, but can also be used by beginners (if you have watched my previous classes). It can also be useful for experienced artists - you might find inspiration and new ways to paint Japanese storefronts.
