Course Description

This tutorial will show you how to create Unity 5 physically based shaders (PBS). We'll also discuss what it takes to create PBS materials and how we can author the textures. We will start with props from Camouflaj's Republique. Then we'll discuss the differences between Metal-Gloss and Specular-Gloss workflows. We'll be using 3ds Max with Headus to create our UVs. Then, we will use Substance Designer to author our PBS's. This Substance Designer training will give you a solid understanding about the workflows required to create content with Physically Based Shading. Software requirements: 3ds Max 2015 Substance Designer, Substance Painter and Bitmap2Material 3.0. Headus UVLayout, Unity 5.
