Course Description

Are you interested in helping healthcare decision-makers by researching the potential benefits and harms of different treatment options? Do you want to help patients find the best care? These questions are relevant to Comparative Effectiveness Training and Instruction. – Certain - Professional Certificate Program.

The CERTaIN Professional Certificate program was created by researchers from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and partners institutions. It provides a comprehensive overview of core concepts and research methods used in comparative effectiveness and patient-centered outcomes (CER) research across five key areas.

Expert decision scientists, oncologists and economists will teach you how to conduct CER/PCOR. You'll also learn from epidemiologists and health care policy experts how to apply CER/PCOR techniques in real life to conduct high-quality research studies.

Anyone interested in CER/PCOR methods should apply for the CERTaIN Professional Certificate Program. The program consists of five courses that include almost 50 lectures on CER/PCOR topics. Each course is composed of a series lectures by subject experts. Each lecture is followed by a quiz to test your knowledge of the material.
