Course Description

COVID-19 has caused anxiety and increased uncertainty, which is putting more pressure on both the workers in social services and those who are receiving it. This epidemic has brought to light the need for better social care in communities, especially those who rely on their neighbors and local services. This course will help you understand the effects of social isolation and social distancing on the provision of social care as well as the additional vulnerabilities that COVID-19 might create. You will make sense of your life experiences, learn from other perspectives, and discover ways to cope with the difficulties of living in a world where social care is dependent or given to you.
