Course Description

Since the introduction of Extended Events in SQL Server 2008 (XE), there have been three new SQL Server releases. Developers and DBAs still prefer Profiler. It is time to move on. This course is ideal for those who have tried Extended Events but failed, or those who are just starting to think about it. This course will use your existing knowledge and experience to bridge the gap between Profiler XE and Profiler. It includes demos that show how to create Extended Events sessions using existing Traces, how to create one from scratch in the UI, how to analyze data and what to look out for in terms performance. This course is applicable to anyone who uses Trace or Profiler with SQL Server in any capacity, no matter what your job entails.
