Course Description

This series of lessons will teach you how to use V-Ray for Maya's Render Elements to control your final renders. Render Elements allows us to quickly render scenes in multiple passes. These can then be reassembled in an outside compositing program. Multi-pass rendering gives us greater control over the final image result. This course will show you how to use many of V-Ray's Render Elements, including how to separate shadows, reflections and highlights into individual passes. It also teaches how to properly reassemble passes in an external compositing program. You will also learn how you can render certain materials and textures to their Render Elements. There are many other topics and workflows that will help you become a more powerful and efficient V-Ray artist. Maya 2011 or higher, V-Ray 1.5 SP1 or above.
