In lieu of a degree, managerial experience may translate well into this position. Employers typically require two to five years of managerial experience when considering applicants for assistant branch manager positions. A typical work week is a forty hour, 9 to 5. Some extra hours may be needed at certain times and assistant managers may sometimes need to work hours on certain Saturdays as well.
