A process engineering manager is in charge of designing and implementing manufacturing processes, plants, and/or equipment within their field. They are primarily responsible for ensuring continual improvement related to process, cost, production and overall quality of the products. This position exists in many areas and industries; however, these managers typically work in a manufacturing plant or factory. While process engineering managers usually work during regular business hours, other hours may be needed since most plants and factories operate 24 hours a day.
