Assistant product managers work with the product manager to handle specific products within the organization. The main objective of an assistant product manager is to perform customer research, define customer problems, identify market opportunities, and complete market research activities. Assistant product managers may participate in the creation of product budgets and prepare budget documents for review by the product management team. Assistant product managers also develop and monitor key product metrics and perform quality and cost control reviews based on these metrics.
