The business development officer is responsible for working to increase increase sales and profits related to the services and products offered by their organization. The business development officer is also responsible for building stronger ties with the member and shareholders of their institution. Some other responsibilities that are expected of a business development officer on a day-to-day basis include analyzing portfolios to develop new opportunities, developing new business strategies, and staying up to date with their institution's policies, programs, products and pricing.
