The public relations officer also works directly with outside media outlets and their representatives. The position is typically full time in an office setting, although overtime may be required during specific periods of time and prior to large events. Some travel is usually required. This job typically reports to a marketing director or manager.
Public relations officer jobs typically require a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, as well as three to five years of public relations experience.
