Supply chain consultants work with the senior director to help develop, market, promote, and implement different supply chain consulting strategies for their company to achieve effective and efficient business processes. They are also responsible for coming up with ideas on how to reduce supply expenses and optimizing clinical resource utilization for each member of the organization. Additionally, this individual performs some sales tasks to increase revenue growth and member satisfaction. Supply chain consultants are responsible for their organization's accounts and quarterly savings, as well as managing most of the major projects within the organization.

These consultants generally work indoors in an office setting. They typically work during regular business hours, although additional or alternative hours may be necessary depending on the business. Supply chain consultants interact regularly with members of various teams within their organization, and so they must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
