Course Description

Cloud computing, the internet of things cybersecurity, and infrastructure networking are becoming more complicated. Both network engineering and coding have combined to provide a pathway for coders or network engineers to learn DevOps skills within the discipline network automation. DevOps is now a key growth area within the infrastructure and digital technology fields of computing/coding.

It is often cited and sought for career entry as well as personal development by many computing professionals. Cisco, through The Open University's Cisco Networking Academy, offers this course as a route to gain their internationally recognised certification while studying remotely.

This course is suited for both network engineers and coders. Networked systems must adapt to changing infrastructure, consumer and cybersecurity demands, so developers require coding experience to ensure the system can deliver the service it is designed for.

Within the course you will develop industry-focussed skills knowledge and experience using Python to code a range of data formats using code the DevOps methodology and various micro services deploying applications as container-based solutions for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

This course prepares you for the Cisco DevNet associate certification exam. You will receive a discount DevNet Associate certificate voucher and a Cisco digital badge if you pass the course with a minimum of 70%.
