Course Description

The ability to communicate with real-time IP voice or video technology is essential in today's fast-paced business world. This course, Configuring Cisco SRT and Enhanced Call Admission Control will show you how to configure remote-site router-based call survival, implement a remote dial-plan and manage WAN bandwidth with various call admission controls features. You will first learn how to set up SRST (Survivable remote site telephony) for both SIP and SCCP phones. Next, you'll learn how to set up the remote gateway dial-plan, using dial-peers, translation profiles and dial-peers to provide PSTN connectivity to the remote site. Finally, you'll be able to configure Call Forward Unregistered for intersite connectivity to the main site. Next, you'll learn how to optimize WAN links by selecting codecs and ensuring call quality through configuring both traditional location-based Call Admissions Control as well as enhanced Call Admissions Control. You will also learn how to troubleshoot issues with call connectivity using RTMT or the Cisco IOS trace tools. After completing this course, you will have the knowledge and skills to create an SRST redundancy plan, configure a remote site dial-plan and manage bandwidth with CAC.
