Course Description

This course will cover commonly used statistical inference techniques for numerical and categorical data. This course will teach you how to perform hypothesis tests and interpret p-values. You'll also learn how to report your results in a way that clients and the public can understand. You will be able to estimate quantities using numerous data examples and express the uncertainty of the quantity you are interested in. This course will teach you how to install and use R and RStudio (free statistical programs). You'll also use the software for final projects and lab exercises. This course will introduce you to the basics of data analysis, and explain how to interpret and report on both numerical and categorical data.
