Course Description

This tutorial will show you how to use CINEMA4D to model. CINEMA 4D has many options to create 3D geometry. These include traditional polygon modeling tools as well as powerful spline-based techniques. A Swiss Army Knife is a great project to help us build different shapes in CINEMA4D due to its many pieces. We will explore how to deal with the different types of geometry that are available. You will learn how to modify polygon geometry using various tools, such as adding edges, smoothing it, and extruding faces. We will also look at several ways to add geometry with splines. CINEMA 4D's flexible and hierarchy-based workflow will be explored. This will allow us to modify many parts of our model once we have created them. Cloner objects, spline effectsors, and working in nulls and pivots will all be covered. We'll be covering a variety of modeling tools that will help you quickly build your own geometry in CINEMA4D. CINEMA 4D R11.5 software required.

Because of its many pieces, a Swiss Army Knife will provide a great project for us to begin building different types of shapes in CINEMA 4D

CINEMA 4D offers a number of options for creating 3d geometry ranging from traditional polygon modeling tools to powerful spline based techniques

In building our knife, we'll cover a wide array of modeling tools that will allow you to quickly get up to speed building your own geometry in CINEMA 4D

Learn the tools and techniques that will allow us to begin modeling in CINEMA 4D

Software required CINEMA 4D R11

We'll also explore several methods for adding geometry using splines

We'll also touch on using Cloner Objects, spline effectors, and working with nulls and pivots

We'll explore CINEMA 4D's very flexible, hierarchy-based workflow that will allow us to make modifications to many parts of our model after we've created them

We'll look at dealing with different types of geometry available to us

We'll use various tools to begin modifying polygon geometry by adding edges, extruding out faces, and smoothing the geometry
