Course Description

This tutorial will show you how to create, rig and animate a dynamic and richly detailed character in After Effects. These lessons will show you how powerful After Effects is when it comes to advanced character animation. By breaking down the steps, we will go beyond the simple paper-cutout method of character animation. First, we'll review the Photoshop file that was used to paint the character's layer. Next, we'll move quickly into After Effects where we'll begin rigging it using basic expressions and Duik Tools For Inverse Kinematics. Finally, we'll use FreeForm Pro for 3D head. This series will give you a solid understanding of how After Effects brings a Photoshop character to life. Software requirements: Photoshop CS6, After Effects CS6, Duik Tools Ver.13.0.2 and FreeForm Pro Plug in for CS6.
