The University was founded in 2014 by the promoters of the Hero Group andis named after the group's chairman and founder, Brij Mohan Lall Munjal. It is a privately owned university.
BML has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
BML Munjal University Gurgaon was ranked 37th in India overall by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2020.
The University put forward both UG & PG level courses. At the UG level, BML Munjal University Gurgaon courses include B.Tech, BCom Hons, BA LLB, etc. These courses come with many specializations. BML Munjal University Gurgaon PG programmes include MBA courses with many disciplines. Admission to these courses is based on merit.
BML Munjal University Gurgaon placement cell is responsible for handling all matters related to the training and recruitment of the students. BML Munjal University placements are held by the Career Guidance and Development Centre (CGDC). Their placement department invites many reputed companies such as Google, Hero, Samsung, KPMG, Deloitte, Synopsys for the placement drive. The highest package for placements goes up to Rs 15 LPA.
The institute also offers various scholarships to the students, both government and non-government scholarships. The scholarships include Ishan Uday Scholarship, PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child, and many more.
