Description

An engineer in design verification works to test and debug the designs and products required by their business. They try to find and resolve as many issues as they can with a product prior to its launch that includes using the product in different ways than they are intended for use in order to find safety issues as well as design flaws and problems. An engineer who is responsible for design verification is required to be able to work on a variety of projects across a range of fields.

Designers who work in design verification generally require at minimum a bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computing science or another related field. An education in programming as well as various relevant certificates (which differ by the company and the scope of the engineer's duties) are required in general. In addition, engineers need to be able to adapt and be able to work in a stressful and fast-paced work working environment. The ability to be curious and solve problems on a time-bound basis are equally important. They should also have an ability to look out of the box and identify possible issues while following the standard procedures for testing. They is required to work in a group with strict deadlines and possess outstanding communication abilities. A solid background in technical writing is also preferred.
