Description

Each product manufactured goes through various processes prior to reaching customers Process engineers are responsible for investigating these processes in the framework that of engineering chemical. They assess the efficiency as well as the quality and safety of the process, and make suggestions for improving the process if needed.

They assess processes such as chemical interactions, design of equipment and system performance that are involved in the production of the particular product. If processes require improvement it is the responsibility of an engineer in charge of the processes to suggest modifications. In certain instances the engineer may develop new designs for equipment. Engineers will also need document their work with charts and diagrams, which are then passed on to the company' production and manufacturing departments.

Engineers may work as an employee of a company or work for themselves. A vast understanding of manufacturing and production is required to perform this job effectively. To become an engineer in the process you must have a bachelor's education in engineering, or a different specific field of study is required, along with a few years of work experience.
