District operations managers is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the district for whom they are charged. They act as an advisor to the managers of operations within their district. Additionally, they must conduct regularly (usually weekly) reviews and check-ins on the performance of their employees. The district operations manager develops budget guidelines for their subordinate managers of operations and helps to improve the efficiency of finances that each manager works. The district manager must set up and define both long-term and short-term goals that apply to all units of operation as well as subordinate managers, as regularly evaluate the progress that has been achieved in achieving those goals.

In this job, the working environment is mostly inside an office space however some outdoor work might be necessary.
