Compliance auditors are accountable to protect the company's assets through checks and audits within the organization in order to make sure that the equipment and processes are in compliance with the law and guidelines for the company, best practices and contracts. The auditor can work on his own or in an team to review the records and observe procedures, record the current state of affairs and identify potential issues and provide suggestions to management on ways to increase compliance. The auditor will then conduct subsequent inspections to make sure that the suggested modifications (that are accepted from the management) have been implemented, and carried out correctly.
