In 1992 Achyuta Samanta established the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), one of India's leading universities. In 2004, by the ministry of human resource development, the government of India KIIT was declared deemed university. In 2014, KIIT put forward a robust experiential learning platform with its several Centre of Excellence (CoE).
