Course Description

There is a difference between normal brain ageing, and brains with neurodegenerative diseases. This course will explain how neurodegenerative diseases affect patients with neurological and brain disorders.

You will be guided by neuroscience experts at the Complutense University of Madrid to explore specific neuropathological events due to brain disorders such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and multiple Sclerosis.

These diseases are currently treated with the best available therapies. You will also learn about research ongoing to combat these disorders.

You will also learn about the causes of brain disorders and the effects of normal ageing on the brain.
