Course Description

For the citizens of France, Mexico and China as well as African countries like Nigeria, Ghana and Sudan, America has been an attraction. Rice University's rich and diverse course "America Through Foreign Eyes", features faculty members from many disciplines. The course combines American Studies and World Cultures to focus on American perceptions abroad. Five core modules are included in the course, which each cover Americanization, Americans' perceptions, and Americanization.
