Course Description

The Bayesian Approach to Statistics is introduced in this course. It starts with probability, and moves on to analysis. The philosophy and how it is applied to common data types will be explained. The Bayesian approach will be compared to the Frequentist method, which is more common. We'll also see the Bayesian benefits. The Bayesian method allows us to better account for uncertainty and produce more easily understood and understood results. It also makes it easier to express our assumptions more clearly. The course includes lectures, computer demonstrations and readings as well as exercises, discussion boards, and exercise. This creates an interactive learning environment. You have two options for computing: Microsoft Excel, or R (open-source and freely accessible statistical software). Both offer equivalent content. Lectures provide basic mathematics as well as an explanation of philosophy and interpretation. This course will provide an overview of Bayesian concepts, the differences between Frequentist and Bayesian approaches and basic data analysis skills.
