Course Description

This series of After Effects tutorials will show you how to create a 3D fly through effect in After Effects using assets that were created from images we have broken down in Photoshop. Start in Photoshop with the images. Then, we will start to deconstruct the photos in Photoshop to build our shot. To fill in some areas that were not covered by the photos, we learn masking and painting techniques. Next, we jump into After Effects to begin building our scene. We lay the ground, sky and tree layers. Once we have added and constructed the assets, we layer the atmosphere effects. Trapcode's Particular plugin creates dust and fog particles systems. To make the shot look more real, we also apply lens effects. The tutorial ends with two lessons in sound design that will make your video truly immersive. This tutorial is ideal for intermediate After Effects users who want to learn how to create motion design projects using realistic-looking assets and sound. You will be able to create your own forest scene with seamless transitions from one composition into the next by the end of the training. Additionally, you will have learned the basics of creating projects that use sound in After Effects. Software needed: Photoshop CS5, After Effects CS6, Knoll Light Factory.
