Course Description

This training will show you how to make a game-ready revolver. We'll start by creating a high-poly model. This section will teach you how to create complex high-poly models. Then we will spend some time in ZBrush to learn how to make fine details for our revolver's handle. Next, we will learn how to properly topologize our mesh in order to achieve the low poly model. This section will teach you how to optimize your mesh while still maintaining enough geometry to support high-poly detail. Next, we will learn how to apply smoothing groups and layout UVs to our game mesh. We'll then wrap up the training with a demonstration of how to bake a normal map, and how Quixel's Quixel DDO can be used to quickly create textures by using a Physically Based rendering workflow. Software requirements: 3dsMax 2014, Zbrush4R6, Quixel Suite.
