Course Description

This course will teach you how to plot data with R default graphics system base graphic.

We will then look at different R plotting examples after an introduction to base graphs. These include scatterplots, correlation matrices and simple graphs. The course concludes with exercises in plot customization. These include saving and creating complex R plots, and efficiently using R's colors. Base graphics, the default system for R graphics, are the easiest to learn. It provides many useful tools, especially for exploratory graphics where we need to discover what's in unknown datasets.
