Course Description

This course will help you to understand the core concepts and notation upon which machine learning and AI are based. This course does not include a complete math curriculum. This course is not intended to replace college or school math education. It focuses instead on the fundamental mathematical concepts you will encounter in machine learning studies. To get started with equations, functions and basic algebra, we will then move on to differential calculus in order to explore derivatives of optimisation. We will also cover linear algebra, vectors and matrixes before getting into statistics and probability.

You will be able: To apply basic mathematical principles in Data Analytics. Demonstrate you understanding of Quadratic Equations. Demonstrate the understanding of Quadratic Functions. Demonstrate an understanding of Differential Calculus Foundations. Demonstrate an understanding of Vectors. Demonstrate an understanding of Probability. This course was co-created by Microsoft.
