Financial Accounting Fundamentals

The Darden School of Business at Virginia taught this course. It will give you the foundations of financial accounting. The financial records of small businesses are explained in concise videos. "Your turn" activities will guide you through the most common financial statements, including the Statement of Cash Flows, Income Statement, Balance Sheet. You'll also learn how to record transactions and how to read and analyze financial statements to make basic conclusions about a company's financial health.

This course will teach you how to: - Record transactions in a journal; - Create and use t-accounts for summarizing transactions over an accounting period. - Describe the most common financial statements and their relationship. - These financial statements are prepared based on transactions that were recorded over an accounting period. - Draw some basic conclusions about the financial health of a company.
