Course Description

Explore cutting-edge genomics technology and tools

This course will help you to understand the rapid growth of genomics in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of clinical conditions.

Learn how genomics can be applied in medicine.

Medical technology is improving rapidly, and new powerful genomics technologies allow an individual's entire gene set, and even whole genome, to be analysed quickly and simultaneously with the goal of identifying pathogenic variants.

This course will help you to understand the structure, organization, and function the human genome. You'll also learn how genetic variants can disrupt this function and cause diseases.

Learn how to make sense out of genomic data

You'll be accompanied by leading academics from University of Glasgow.

You'll learn how to analyze genomic data and how to use sophisticated online databases and tools to analyse human genome data.

You'll also learn the terminology used in global genome analysis and how genomic technologies can help with specific medical conditions.
