Course Description

This class will show you how to create responsive titles in After Effects that you can use in Premiere Pro. You will be able create custom titles to give your video a professional finish.

I will show you how to animate a title and subtitle using a frame, add expressions to create responsive designs, and set up your template in the Essential Graphics Panel so that it can be used in Premiere Pro.

This class is the first in a 3-part series on Motion Graphics Templates.

Each class builds on the knowledge and results of the previous classes.

Who Is This Class For

This class is ideal for students of all levels who want to create custom titles. Although you might feel more comfortable using After Effects if you've used it before, prior knowledge is not required. However, you don't need to have any previous knowledge about creating motion graphics templates, or writing expressions.

What You Will Learn

  • Animation templates
    • Learn how to set up your animation in After Effects using Essential Graphics
    • You will create an animated that can be used in Premiere Pro as a template.
    • This video will show you how to set up controllers
  • Writing expressions
    • Learn the essential lines of code to create responsive motion graphics templates
    • To improve your workflow, you will link properties with expressions
    • JavaScript terminology will be taught to you
  • Use the essential graphics in Premiere Pro
    • Learn how to import and use your mogrt in Premiere Pro
    • You can modify and personalise your template.
    • This will give you insight into how other users might be using your template

Why Should You Watch

This class will teach you how to create responsive animation templates in After Effects. These templates can be used in any Adobe video project. You will be able to set up the Essential Graphics Panel, and optimize your understanding of UX. You will be able export Mogrts to Premiere Pro.

This knowledge can also be used to create motion graphics templates that you can use for your next YouTube video, or client project.

Materials / Resources

To complete this class, you will need Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro. You don't need any assets to complete this class. I will provide any required assets.
