Course Description

Data visualization is essential to data science. Visualization is a way to discover insights from your data and share them with others. On the path to becoming data scientists, everyone is taught how to make scatter plots and bar graphs. However, data visualization's true power can only be discovered when you stop and think about how, what and why you visualize your data. This course will show you how to create captivating visualizations that effectively communicate your results. We will compare data from the US and examine how uncertainty can be shown. We will finish the course with open-access data from farmers market to create an impactful, polished visual report.
