Course Description

Every day, the electrical and electronic complexity of automotive systems is growing. Modern cars have 100's of Electronic Control Units. Each ECU may contain a different control algorithm with varying complexity levels. It is dangerous to update the same functionality every time we change hardware. Control functions should be designed and executed independently of the target hardware. We use Autosar-based Software Development Architecture to achieve this. This generic software architecture can be used by multiple OEMs and is compatible with other hardware.

This course will cover various automotive domains such as Powertrain Control, Body Control module, and ADAS. The course will then cover the basics of Model-based Development and guidelines for developing compatible models. Finally, we'll discuss testing theories & techniques.

After the basics are covered on different domains and Model Based Development Techniques we will move onto basic Autosar concepts, Autosar layers & their functions. Next, we will develop Autosar-compliant MATLAB Control Models that can be converted to C -code.
