Course Description

Transact-SQL skills are essential for developers and data professionals working with SQL databases. This self-paced course combines expert instruction, demonstrations, practical labs, and a mix of hands-on practice to help you with your first SELECT statement to create a transactional programmatic logic. Each module will cover a different area of Transact-SQL. The focus is on querying and altering data in Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL Database. This course uses a sample database that you can deploy in Azure SQL Database. You will get hands-on experience using Transact-SQL, without having to install or configure a database server.

With a particular focus on querying or modifying data in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database, you'll learn key aspects of SQL. Practical aspects of the course focus on data types and NULL, querying multiple table with JOIN, using set operator, functions, and aggregate data. Transact-SQL programming will also be covered. You will also learn how to handle errors. This course builds on the ExpertTrack courses and will increase your knowledge of Microsoft Azure. It will also help you understand how to use SQL within it. Microsoft has approved this course.
