This class will teach how to combine stop motion animation with 2D cel animation. You will learn how to combine clay and illustration mixed media images into animated animations that morph back and forth in a creative, lively loop.
You'll follow Kaho through the entire production process. Here you'll learn:
- Create a moodboard to get inspiration for your color scheme and concept
- To plan your movements, create a storyboard and an animatic
- Set up your stop-motion shoot
- Use Dragonframe to Shoot Stop Motion
- Create a 2D Cel Animation with Photoshop
- After Effects Composit
Stop motion can be intimidating to begin and can be tedious. The process can be made more flexible and less frightening by combining it with digital animation. This class will show you how magical and fun stop motion can be.
