About This Video

  • Create different types of WordPress websites confidently
  • Learn WordPress in depth, including custom headers, plugins and themes.
  • Convert HTML and CSS websites to WordPress themes

This course is designed for anyone looking to build WordPress themes or websites, or for hobbyists who want to learn a new skill.

This course will use WordPress 4.8. However, it is compatible with all versions of WordPress.

We start the course by familiarizing ourselves with WordPress and then we will show you how to install it on a local host. Then we will look at WordPress basics while you create your own blog.

Next, we'll customize our blog. You should also optimize your WordPress website for search engines, and create backups.

This second project will expand your WordPress knowledge. We create an eCommerce T-Shirt shop. We also use child themes to deal with shipping, taxes, and product categories. All this while creating a beautiful, custom website.

We then move on to WordPress theme development. This includes converting an HTML and CSS website into fully functional WordPress themes. This section teaches PHP coding. However, if you are new or not familiar with PHP, the PHP basics section will help you get started.

This project introduces new techniques and will give you a deeper understanding of how WordPress themes are made. You will learn about the use of WordPress templates and how to use various WordPress functions to create your theme.

The last section is about useful techniques to improve your WordPress knowledge. This section will discuss how to export localhost websites onto a live server and various plugins.

You will be able to use all of the WordPress skills you need to create your own website by the end this course.
