Apeejay Stya University is a private state university. The varsity was established in 2010 by the Apeejay Stya Education Foundation under Act No. 10 of the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act 2010. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). There are a total of 54 faculty members at the campus and currently 684 students are enrolled in programmes offered by Apeejay Stya University Gurgaon. As per the official website, the mission of the university is to contribute to the development of society and the country as a whole.
The courses of the varsity are offered at three levels - undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral. B.Tech, B.Sc., B.Com (Hons), M.B.A., M.C.A. etc. are some of the courses offered by Apeejay Stya University. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme of the university is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It offers admission on the basis of candidates scores in the university entrance examination. For M.B.A. admissions, CAT/MAT/ XAT/GMAT/CMAT scores are accepted for admission. For providing international exposure to students, the Apeejay Stya University has collaboration with foriegn universities and institutes.
