Established in the year 1916, University of Mysore (UOM) is a state university approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university is also known as UOM Mysore. NAAC has accredited the university with a CPGA of 3.67. UGC has recognised the varsity as the university with Potential for Excellence (UPE). The university has secured the 34th position in the overall category in the NIRF ranking 2021.
