Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT Pune) was established in 1983. VIT Pune is an autonomous institution affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. VIT Pune is run by the Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust, Pune. The institute is spread over a campus size of 18 acres. VIT Pune has a total faculty of 242 members. The college offers a total of 25 courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The streams in which these engineering courses are offered are- Chemical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. VIT Pune offers a variety of facilities and infrastructure to its students. The institute offers scholarships to meritorious and needy students.
