The university was established in the year 2015 as a Jain Minority University. This university was formed as the state private university of the Government of Maharashtra. Flame University is formed with the aim to provide a liberal education to students. The university is spread on 60 acres of campus with all the modern-day facilities available for students. The university which is formed under the Maharashtra Act No II offers UG and PG programs.
Flame University consists of 4 departments that are FLAME School of Communication, FLAME School of Fine & Performing Arts, FLAME School of Business, FLAME School of Liberal Education. Students have the option to pursue B.A. Hons, B.B.A, B. Sc Hons, M.B.A. and P.G.P in different specializations from the Flame University Pune. The varsity has been recognised by the University Grants Commission.
